Position: Content Creation Assistant

Term: 12-week Summer Employment Contract Location: Hybrid (Ottawa, ON)

Hours: 35 hours per week (some evening and weekend work may be required)

Reports to: TRAC Program Coordinator.

Background and Context

TRAC (Technology, Research, and Communications) is a social enterprise of the Social Planning Council of Ottawa, supporting nonprofits and small businesses with communications, digital marketing, and media services. We are seeking a motivated Content Creation Assistant for a summer position to support our team in graphic design, video editing, and content writing for TRAC and client projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with the creation of graphics, video content, and written materials for social media, web, and print.

Support the design and editing of promotional materials, presentations, and digital campaigns.

Collaborate with the TRAC team to brainstorm and execute creative concepts.

Help maintain organized archives of creative assets.

Stay up to date with trends in digital media and content creation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience or coursework in graphic design, video editing, communications, or a related field.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).

Strong writing and communication skills.

Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Assets

Experience with social media content creation.

Photography or animation skills.
