SPCO Membership Sign-up and Renewal
Membership is our strength. By becoming a member of the Social Planning Council of Ottawa (SPCO), you support the residents of Ottawa to lead meaningful change on priority issues affecting the community. Some of the key issues we have focused on in recent years include youth unemployment, social inequities, poverty, and social isolation in seniors.
As a member of the SPCO, whether as an individual or an organization, you gain access to an array of community resources. These include shared programming spaces (subject to availability), communal software resources such as Canva and a shared Zoom account for programs and meetings. SPCO members also have opportunities to impact the SPCO’s strategic direction and receive complimentary invitations to exclusive community engagement events, members’ retreats, and other private gatherings.
Any public or private agency, organization or individual active or interested in the planning, coordination and development of social services in Ottawa and subscribing to the mission, vision and values of the SPCO may be accepted for membership by the Board of Directors. Individual members and representatives of member organizations must be at least eighteen years of age to be eligible to vote at the Annual General Meeting and are eligible to serve on the SPCO Board of Directors and at various committees.
