Community Building

One of the outcomes of the Council's community planning activities is the creation of, and continued support to, community networks that work to resolve social problems that concern the community at large.

The SPC is currently playing instrumental roles in the following community networks:

The Social Planning Council also participates in the community's concerted efforts to resolve identified social problems through participation in the following coalitions

  • Francophone agency members of Centraide
  • Success by Six
  • Chamber of Voluntary Organizations
  • Child and Youth Health Network for Eastern Ontario
  • Ottawa Food Security Group
  • Women's Access to Municipal Services Advisory GroupFinancial Assistance Committee of the Canadian Mental Health Association; § Child Poverty Action Group; § Alliance to End Homelessness.
